Dear car companies
I'd like to say I'm pragmatic and optimistic. This post is for companies like Chrysler (stellantis if you will) and Nissan. You need an economical easy to build versatile reliable volume leader. Chrysler needs a modern K car and Nissan needs another Sentra. The profits per unit may be in high end SUV's and maybe you were told BEV's are the future but the marketplace disagrees. Porsche Taycan sales are done, Tesla sales were down before DOGE and the EV market is in a rough patch. So here's what the industry needs, or at least what I think it needs. Start with a compact-mid size platform that can be made in sedan, coupe, wagon/cuv/minivan without heavy redevelopment. Conform to the best minimums for safety and emissions. an easy to manufacture, easy to maintain 3 or 4 cylinder with direct/port injection. An easy to operate and reliable Manual and automatic transmission with, "Parking Lot," Hybrid. Infotainment? A simple deck that...
