There are some downsides to losing weight. #LetMeExplain

Short story long:   20 years ago I was almost 300 lb.  When my oldest daughter was 1 I wrecked my back at work, had a ton of chiropractic care and then joined the #StCatharinesOntarioYMCA and went from almost 300 to a hair over 200 in about 5 months.  Then my ex wife ended our marriage and just over 200 became 155!  But that's a different store.   So a year ago my weight was around 255, and I got it down to 235 by walking during my breaks, giving up pop (AGAIN) and limiting my carb intake.     Right now I'm a hair over 220 and I'm pretty much keto, and I fast every other day right now.   I had sleep apnea, and one of the downsides to sleep apnea is that you normally don't get into deep dream state sleep.   Well I'm getting back into deep dream state sleep and man are my dreams getting weird!  I don't remember them like this!  I shared one on a blog post and will share more.  It's interesting that I remember them fair...

The Musk-Capades and his ongoing purchase of Twitter

So I've ben dwelling here.   At some point Elon Musk will be the owner of social media platform Twitter.  People on the mid-far to far left of the ideological spectrum hate the idea.  Most people don't care  And most people on the liberty-right love the idea.  And here's the deal that I think will happen.  Social media platforms have really vague terms of use that they can manipulate to suit their narrative.  That's why certain content that wishes no harm on someone gets blocked or taken down and content that decries violence against someone doesn't. The Musk-Twitter will more than likely have well defined terms of service and will be used the same regardless of assumed context. Twitter isn't the number one social media platform and it probably won't be (For some strange reason lately I've missed Google+).  But what it will be is an opportunity for the aforementioned clear and concise terms of service and a wake up call to all the other plat...

Holidays are great when you work in a grocery store (Apologies to the fine people who represent #ButterBall turkey products)

Page over store, " Meat department line 1". Me: Hello Meat department! Customer: Do you have the Butterball turkey beasts? M The frozen ones? I'll take a peek. C: Yeah the ones in the box. M: We have lots. Customer arrives: C: Where are the butterball turkey breasts? M: I take her to them. C: Where are the fresh ones? M: We don't sell fresh butterball turkey cuts. C: I bought them here last week! M: I'm sorry but you didn't buy them here. Customer clenches fists reaches towards me and I move back. C: I bought them here last week! I'm not crazy! You're just treating me like crap! You've ruined Easter. Customer runs away. First time in a while I ruined someone's holiday meal by not having something that I don't sell!

SHORT STORY LONG This is a dream (nightmare I had)

The world lost my mom on Feb 19.  I am estranged from my family and I am still dealing with it.  Maybe I'll talk about it later.   So here's the dream:   I'm on trial, it's a big one, JURY TRIAL.  And my lawyer resembles Saul Goodman (Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad/whatever they come up with)     Two of my staff who I'm trying to get to improve but they probably think I'm pestering them are there TO DEFEND ME!   My mom is on the Jury.   I keep screaming for a mistrial because my mom is in the jury and in this dream capital punishment comes up!  SO WTF did I do!   And the lawyer keeps saying, "Don't worry we got this, they'll pay you for time served!"   And I keep screaming that my mom is in the Jury how'd she get there, isn't that a misstrial!   And then there's a flash of light and the dream ends.   WTF did I do!
